I had a great day on Saturday with Robin Fleck’s ELL students. We decided that from now on we will unwrap not unpack complex sentences. I found the article about the Emma Lazarus poem and have posted the article about Visual Thinking Strategies.

I enjoyed reading the common core article. As a former English teacher, I know how important it is to have students try reading materials of differing abilities. The kids learned a lesson that they will never forget: I can do it!
